I've got a new "Vivian Maier Newsletter". That's what it is about:

The Maloof Collection is busy working on the upcoming Vivian Maier book (to be released November 1, 2011), the Vivian Maier documentary film, preparing the Howard Greenberg gallery show in New York this winter and a few other public exhibitions in Europe. Until then we added 20 new self portraits of Vivian Maier to the Self Portrait Portfolio. We hope you enjoy them!

John Maloof put the redesigned "Vivian Maier" page online. Have a look and enjoy her excellent streetphotography.

Habe bei Martin Wolf (visuelleGedanken) diesen Beitrag gesehen, und kann das mit der Gänsehaut nur bestätigen: was für ein herausragendes fotografisches Werk, was für eine Chance, aber auch Verantwortung für John Maloof, der das Material entdeckt hat.

Zu Beginn des Jahres 2010 tauchte die Geschichte schon einmal auf, aber mit der fortschreitenden Erschließung des Materials wird dessen Bedeutung langsam deutlich.

Bis zum 3. April ist eine Auswahl im Chicago Cultural Center zu sehen.
